RoCM Playlist: 15 Apr 2023
So here we are – the start of another quarter at our new time slot, which was our old time slot, 4pm on Saturdays. Kind of happy to be back in this slot, to be honest. Hopefully, this new time slot works for you all as well.
Couple of sad notes to start off with as we have tributes to Harrison Bankhead and Kidd Jordan as we lost those two greats this past week. But we also visit a classic free jazz tune and some other great tunes as well. And we kick off with a quick nod to Herbie Hancock, who celebrated his 82nd birthday last Wednesday.
So here’s to the new quarter – and one more quick note – I want to welcome back two additional jazz show that have returned to KCSB-FM – Marta and her show Bright Moments and Julian’s show An Old Kind Of Love. Happy to no longer be the lone jazz show on the air at KCSB-FM.
So with that, here’s the playlist for this week. Don’t forget that you can listen online at KCSB-FM’s website and there’s an online archive available for two weeks after the show airs.
