RoCM Playlist: 18 Mar 2023
So another Saturday and here’s another playlist for this week – a nice show I threw together if I don’t say so myself.
A track I’d really like to highlight is the Arthur Rhames piece. If you’re unfamiliar with his work – and you might very well be as he had an incredibly short career largely regulated to the jazz scenes in Brooklyn and NYC until he passed away in 1989 at the young age of 32 – I suggest taking read of this incredible article on Rhames by bassist Melvin Gibbs called Once, We Had a King.
Anyway, please enjoy the playlist for this week.
