RoCM Playlist: 21 Jan 2023
Welcome to the first show of the Winter 2023 KCSB programming quarter. So it looks like The Return of CoolMojo will be the only jazz show on the air at KCSB for this quarter, which is both exciting – “We’re Number 1! We’re Number 1!” – and stress inducing – “With great power, comes great responsibility.”
As I mentioned last week, Marta is taking some time off from hosting Bright Moments. I have been assured – passive voice intended – that this is a temporary situation and that she will be back soon – and I can only hope that is the case. Marta’s show really set the standard for a KCSB program, to which her 20 year show run can attest. Just think about that for a second – 20 years on the air is longer than most shows last on broadcast television and those people get PAID.
In any case, here’s hoping her quarter off is a fruitful one and that she’s back on the air in short order.
