RoCM Playlist: 10 August 2024
This week, we spend a fair amount of time in St. Louis, Missouri and Chicago with musicians and groups born out of, or associated with, the Black Artists Group and the Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians. I also throw in some Anthony Braxton, Bill Dixon, 8 Bold Souls, and we almost get through a show without any Hamid Drake but alas he is part of the Indigo Trio along side Nicole Mitchell and the late great Harrison Bankhead.
Anyway, here is the playlist. Don’t forget that you can listen online at KCSB-FM’s website and there’s an online archive available for two weeks after the show airs.
