RoCM Playlist: 15 June 2024
Happy Father’s Day weekend, everyone. Hard to believe that the year is almost half over as well.
Another set of great jazz tunes this week. Today is the birthday of Nasheet Waits (b. June 15, 1971), son of legendary jazz drummer Freddie Waits. I was also recently introduced to the work of composer and saxophonist Maurice McIntyre, so we hear a track from him this week as well, with other tunes thrown in to round out the show.
Here’s the playlist. Don’t forget that you can listen online at KCSB-FM’s website and there’s an online archive available for two weeks after the show airs.
