RoCM Playlist (KCSB Fund Drive Edition): 15 Feb 2025

It’s Fund Drive Week at KCSB-FM where we ask our listeners to financially support KCSB by making a modest donation to the station. You can contribute anything you’d like – but a donation of $25 if you are a student, or $50 if you are not a student, entitles you to one of our very many thank you gifts. But more importantly, it helps to keep KCSB operational and, in these uncertain times, stations like KCSB or more important than ever.

Lots of great music this week. We start off with a track by Blaise Siwula & Carsten Radtke, two artists that I have never featured before but this album is a great offering. Hamid Drake is back in the playlist – this album had some mixed reviews but I don’t agree with those at all as I think it’s a really terrific album. We also hear from George Adams and Don Cherry.

And we cannot forget that today is the 81st birthday of Henry Threadgill so there’s a track him as well.

Here is the playlist. Don’t forget that you can listen to the RoCM online at KCSB-FM’s website and there’s an online archive available for two weeks after the show airs. And again, please consider supporting KCSB during our Fund Drive Week.
