RoCM Playlist: 14 Jan 2023
Hopefully, all of you in Santa Barbara have survived the torrential rains this past week. It’s rare that Long Island weather is in a more desirable state than the weather in Santa Barbara – but it does happen. If it’s any consolation, we are getting snow flurries today with a high in the the mid-30s, so our preferable weather situation did not last long.
In show specific news, I am officially on the schedule for the KCSB Winter 2023 programming quarter – which starts on Monday, January 16th – so at least 10 more weeks of CoolMojo programming are in our collective futures.
Some bad news, as it appears Marta will be taking some time off and will no longer be hosting Bright Moments for this quarter. I do not have any insight into the reasons she is taking time off or whether it is a short term hiatus or something longer term, but she will be missed. I’ve known her a long time, I wish her nothing but the best and I really hope she returns in the Spring.
I haven’t seen the full schedule yet, but this might very well mean that The Return of CoolMojo is the only jazz show on the air at KCSB for this quarter. With great power comes great responsibility…
Anyway, here’s the playlist for today’s show…
